  • Facetious Sarcastic Irony Or Maybe Not

One of my favourite German words is: Klugscheisser. Roughly translated (to #Americant English) it means smart-ass. I worst-say “roughly translated” on account, well, as far as I can tell (after all these years living abroad) my beloved & missed united mistakes of #Americant has lost touch with what it means to be a smart-ass. I mean. Then again. And I may be splitting hairs here. But it seems to me that most of the western world, lead by #Americant, of course, is kinda run by smart-asses. For Germany, though, there might be a bit more to it. So with that in mind, let’s split some hairs.

Something weird happened recently in my adopted country. Keep in mind, contrary to popular belief, Germans aren’t really all-that weird. Well. Let me rephrase that. Sexually they can be very weird. Culturally they can be weird, too. But usually where the weirdness stops is when it comes to things like science and engineering or politics. In most cases boring but somehow efficient seems to rule all-things German. Unless, of course, you expect a train to run on-time or a horse to sing you a lullaby while trapped inside a candy corn box. But let’s not go there, eh, dear worst-reader.

The weird thing that happened recently has to do with a bunch of well-known German actors having recorded short videos where they try to communicate some kind of message regarding Germany’s dealings with the COVID pandemic. As you may or may not know, z’Germans have recently passed some sweeping laws where they’re trying to finally get this fcuking disease under control. The coinciding problem, though, is that most Klugscheisser Germans don’t like being told what to do or how to live–by the fcuking government–even though being told what to do (and how much tax to pay) is all there is to being German these days. Sound familiar (#Americant)? Now. Keep in mind. Even though I’m a Ausländer, I’m pretty confident in claiming that worst-writer is fully functional in the German language. I’m not very good at writing it but I can speak it and I usually can understand all of it–as long as High-German is spoken and one doesn’t use a bunch of colloquialism, like my wife does sometimes–which drives me crazy, btw. Anywho.

After watching a few of these videos I had to turn to my (German born and raised and somewhat nationalistic) wife and ask her to tell me what’s so wrong (with them) and why are some circles in Germany (the press and politicians) freaking out. After a bit of yipping and yapping here and there from both sides, my wife concluded that I am incapable of understanding German irony.

German what, I asked. But Germans aren’t good at irony. To be ironic you also have to be funny, dear.

As usual my wife grinned, turned and walked away. We spoke again later that day at dinner (about something completely different, of course).

So here’s the thing. These videos were all published under the hashtag #Allesdichtmachen, which basically means close everything. Now. Germany is having a hard time with this pandemic. They can’t seem to stop the waves. In fact, I’m not sure if we’re on the third or fourth wave right now but according to the news, we’re definitely in a wave. Also. Vaccinations aren’t going well. The whole country is pretty much dependent on being able to import vaccines on account, even though the Pfizer vaccine was developed in Germany, the Germans don’t have the capacity to manufacture it (or something like that). Worst-writer’s conclusion as to why Germany’s having such a hard time dealing with COVID boils down to the same reason Germans just ain’t funny. For you see, dear worst-reader, Germans can see/taste/smell irony, they just can’t cook it up–just like humour, don’t you know. Now. As of the writing of this worst-post, I’m still not quite sure who/what started the whole #Allesdichtmachen thing. In fact, I don’t really care who/what started it on account, well, I’ve worked with a few actors here and there. Let me just tell you this about actors. Actors literally are not the brightest stars in the sky, hence the irony they’re referred to as stars. But on that note, I die-gress.

It turns out that many of the actors have pulled their videos regarding Germany’s pandemic fiasco. Reason? Well, get this. Would you believe German right-wing politicians agree with German actor irony–that is attempting to communicate a message about the pandemic? Which brings me back to the idear that Germans can’t really cook-up irony. But if they do cook-up something that they think is irony maybe it’s actually something else. Sarcasm? Facetious? I should also add that worst-writer probably can’t understand the irony either way even though I can understand what the actors are saying along side #Allesdichtmachen. On the other hand, even though much of what Heike Makatsch or Meret Becker say doesn’t really sound like irony (to worst-moi), I’m also finding it kinda hard to just throw out what they’re saying because, well, maybe German right wingers understand less of (German) irony than I do.

Confused yet? Don’t worry. It is this exact confusion that has lead to the (western) world being run by a bunch of Klugscheisser and/or actors not knowing when to draw their own curtains as the stars fade to black.

  • How To Un-Americant Americant

Source of pic: see link below

There’s only two great political things worth mentioning in worst-writer’s life-time. That is, since I became politically aware back in the mid 1970s, only two political issues rein supreme in my worst-mind–and only one of them has happened so far. First, there’s the election of Barry-O. What an achievement. Unfortunately, that achievement is kinda blurred on account how so many #Americants reacted to it–and hence gave way to former prez pee-pee-hair. The second great achievement hasn’t happened yet but I feel obliged to mention it–in case it does. As I’ve noted here and in various other worst-posts, the ilk and filth and rot of the Republican Party thus far culminates in what it’s notoriously and systematically done to the third branch of mis-government of my beloved & missed united mistakes. Now. Don’t get me wrong. The same group has pulled the wool over the executive branch as well with the election of president ur-stupid Ronald Dip$hit Reagan. But since Reagan, mother-fcuking republicans have really done a job on the Judicial–which too me is more important because, well, need I mention it, the executive has culminated in a guy like #Trump. And so. If Biden can pull of un-packing the supreme court as well as republicans, especially Moscow Mitch, has pulled off packing the court, then I’ll be duly impressed and my short list of political things worth mentioning will be done.

  • Unenlightenment

Not quite sure why worst-writer’s worst-thoughts, when confronted with the big picture that is the enduring decline of western civilisation as lead by my beloved & missed united mistakes of #Americant, often get caught up in The Enlightenment. I mean. It’s not that I know all that much about it. Ok. I’ve read a few things from Voltaire. Then there’s Descartes, Spinoza, Adam Smith, etc. Then there are the others. Thomas Paine. Thomas Jefferson. Wait. Check that. I’ve read very few things by any of those dudes. But let’s not get too hung up on worst-writer’s pseudo intellectual inadequacies and unlearnedness. Let me just go with this on account, say, I dig typing. Ok? Indeed.

For worst-writer The Enlightenment is what it is because it’s the first time in human history where human intellect is used to counter arbitrary and oppressive social and political authority. The Enlightenment in its essence boils down to not only questioning authority, which by the 16th and 17th century had lead to massive political chaos and abuse, but it also provided a means with which one could legitimately and logically question power and authority–whether monarchial or religious. Hence it’s no wonder that The Enlightenment lead to some of the best known human rebellions in all history. Namely, the American and French Revolutions. Of course, it must also be remembered that the same intellect that pathed the way for freedom from religion and freedom from arbitrary (hereditary) monarchial rule would also be the basis for which human greed would discover its greatest asset, you know, what Gordon Gekko said: greed is good. Moving on.

The motivating factor for this re-hash of worst-writer’s pseudo intellect aka limited knowledge about The Enlightenment comes from the links below, dear worst-reader. I’m especially interested in the recent NYT article about the extra-judicial killing1 of a so-called Antifa activist in Washington (state) in September 2020. I’ve been lackadaisically following this case ever since I saw the video of the activist Michael Reinoehl defending his actions–and subsequently admitting to the killing of Aaron Danielson who was a right-wing #Trump supporter protesting #BLM protestors. Confused yet, dear worst-reader? Shall we go down the list of confusion?

    • Antifa
    • #BLM
    • extra-judicial-killing
    • Protestors protesting protestors, etc.

Actually, the story is quite simple. Michael Reinoehl wanted to support the #BLM protest as he heard that counter protestors (aka #Trump supporters that were protesting against #BLM) were coming to town. Eventually Reinoehl confronted one of the counter protestors named Aaron Danielson. It was during this brief encounter Reinoehl pulled out a gun and shot Danielson. Danielson died and an arrest warrant was quickly issued for Reinoehl. A few days later and in another town an armed police-like unit–identified by prezident piss-hair #Trump as US Marshals–attempted to arrest Reinoehl but only ended up killing him by shooting and shooting and shooting and shooting. You know, as police do these days when it comes to addressing any social or political issues. Am I wrong.

What does all this have to do with The Enlightenment, Spinoza, Thomas Paine and the American Revolution? Well, welcome to the world that is worst-writer’s mind. This has everything to do with The Enlightenment. Or, as the title might allude: Unenlightenment. Even though I’ve provided the main links (below) to the same information that I reviewed regarding this case, the one thing that really stands out in my mind is the level of stupid, as in THE LAND OF FREEDOM TO BE STUPID, that seems to permeate through everything political and social issue in #Americant today. Or. Put another worst-way: This situation may be one of the best examples yet of how the rich and powerful hold the strings of life over the powerless–and the only way for the powerless to deal with all that is to f’n get smart. As in. Be smarter than the powerful. It ain’t all that hard, you know. Especially when one studies just a bit of history. But on that worst-note, I must die-gress.

The thing is, dear worst-reader, if you watch the video of Michael Reinoehl admitting to killing Aaron Danielson (link below) it’s perhaps not difficult to confuse, or is it obfuscate, the issue at hand. The issue being: two #Americant political ideologies, one from the left and the other from the right, should not be carrying guns around at protests nor should these people be given an ounce of credit for having any cognitive ability. I mean. Don’t forget, dear worst-reader. Just a few days prior to the killing of Danielson there was a similar protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin. There an underage male crossed states lines with a high-powered rifle to aide the police who were trying to deal with #BLM protestors. And of this ring of misconstrued vigilantism? Again. Protestors protesting protestors. Seriously? This young man, btw, ended up killing two other young men who were using skateboards to try and disarm him. With all of this chaos worst-writer can only beg the question: who raises these idiots?

    A country.

Yeah, baby. Obviously worst-writer could go a lot further when it comes to playing the blame-game regarding where all this STUPID comes from. That is, in part, what this worst-blog is all about. Yet. With that in mind. How ’bout this? Someone or something is being well served with all this STUPID. And if you think that someone or something is a government or a star chamber of elitists, I would beg that you think again. And so. I’ll leave you with this last worst-thought. The only thing that can save my beloved & missed united mistakes of #Americant is NOT mindless violence from children reared by children reared by children. How ’bout some good old fashion Enlightenment instead?

Yeah. Good luck with starting anew suckers. You got a long way to go.

    1. I’m probably crossing an ideological line using the term “extra judicial killing”. But I’m gonna stick with it and admit to being, politically, kinda on the left. That said. According to the NYT article (links) the unclarity regarding who/what the police unit was that attacked and killed Reinoehl is mind-numbing. It is especially numbing when you watch/listen to Reinoehl trying to explain what he did and that he believed he was acting in self-defence. The fact that he admits to being against fascism but not in any Antifi organisation speaks for itself, doesn’t it? Or is there simply too much need out there for understanding fascism? ↩︎
  • The Grand Scheme Of Things

How does the beast react when it’s backed into a corner and life becomes the ultimate existential question? I’ve seen it with badgers, squirrels, cats, dogs and, of course, #Americant man-children. These animals become fierce and you can see how every spec of their being is about survival as the corners are decreased and squeezed and pressed and sneezed–and there’s no one to offer them a hanky. Yet, these animals never really go on an outright offence. That is, they don’t commit to outright war and pillage and destruction in order to free themselves from the corner they’ve been squeezed into. Indeed. They simply stay in the corner, cornered, growling, hissing, sometimes even screaming–which may or may not require a hanky. Of course. The cat screams are the worst, especially when coupled with the screams of wives as they must watch the game their man-children have gotten themselves into and how it all plays out. Which begs the question, dear worst-reader. Are you getting the metaphor I’m going for here? Who/what are the animals so violently cornered? Well, without testing your attention span, I’ll just go ahead and spit it out. What we’re worst-writing about today, based on recent newz (see link below) is #Americant conservative, republican manliness run amok yet again again. This time, though, it’s not about war-mongering or about voting rights or about protecting white privilege. No. It’s about that third branch of government that these men have so brilliantly corned. At the least, the article below does explain the seriousness of what’s going on in my beloved & missed united mistakes of #Americant and its so-called third branch of government. Of course, this is but more proof that worst-writer’s predictions are (coming) true. The republicans have certainly kicked arse when it comes to occupying the corner they’ve been trapped within—or without? No matter. Gotta hand it to ’em. And what of the #Americants that have elected these corners? Yeah. Exactly. Time to go shopping baby. Consume to survive, baby.

  • In Scam And Old Underwear We Trust

    Source of pic: #interwebnet screenshot

Alternate worst-title: Surprise! Your whole life has been a scam.

Get a load of the article linked below, dear worst-reader. Can you believe what’s going around in the newz lately? Of course, it has to do with banks, don’t you know. I mean, what else is there in my beloved & missed united mistakes of #Americant? Banking here, banking there. And then there’s finance. And so. That’s right. Regulators and banks are saying that credit card contributions to former prezident piss-hair amount to three percent of all credit card fraud claims for the year of your lord 2020. Again. Can you believe it? Of course you can’t believe it. You’ve been scammed your whole life–and you probably still use #interwebnet sites like facebag to communicate and surf. Which means, for you, need there be a difference between right and wrong? I mean, is there any better way to see your life as nothing but a cog in the wheel of scam? Whether you’re having a sincere look at the real problem of getting people vaccinated–which amounts to nothing more than pharmaceutical companies gauging the needy–or you’re wondering where prezident piss-hair’s only legislative achievement has gone–namely, his infamous 2017 tax cut that enabled corporate #Americant plus the already rich to secure even more wealth on the backs of others via banking-finance krapp like stock buy-backs–you’re so deep up to your chin in greed-$hit that a simple little credit card scam that has been gauging the really, really, really stupid of the #Americant idiocracy–can’t mean much. But on that note I should die-gress. Or should I?

Here’s the thing, dear worst-reader. Like most in everything of former prezident piss-hair’s #MAGA world, unless something drastic is done there’s probably no chance of changing the scam. For the scam is #Americant, baby. #Trump is only the most obvious player in that scam. Perhaps he’s even the most successful player. Which means, whether you’re covering your face with a mask of $hit or #Trump’s cum, make sure you’re wearing the most comfortable pants you can afford, preferably pants not unlike those old fashion undergarments aka unionpants. You know the pants, don’t you dear worst-reader? Dip$hitters from the past wore them all the time. You know. The go-getters, the first suckers of industrial wasteland that would become 20th century#Americant. They loved their unionpants on account, with that access flap, they provided the convenience for not only bodily excretions but also for showing your obedience and submission to the perverse patriarchy. • Call A Spade A Garden Tool

Source of pic: see link below.

The right-wing narrative regarding the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol is an old rhetorical sleight of hand that has a long history of use by American conservatives: they call it “waving the bloody shirt.”

How much are you lovin’ the whammy-tool of post Jan 6, 2021 rhetoric in (my) beloved & missed United Mistakes of #Americant? I mean. I’m certainly digging it. I’m digging it because, well, I’ve known for the better part of my life what the essence is of the greed $hitshow so many refer to as #MAGA. Yet, there is something interesting happening of late. I can’t quite pin it down. Is it the changing of the guard? Is it realising the reflection of your life is actually a mirror (image)? Are you finally calling a spade and spade, which is ultimately nothing more than a gardening tool?

A few articles stirred me this morning. One is about the $hitshow of Republicans and their masturbatory freak show known as CPAC where former president piss-hair made his first appearance since having his arse handing to him by the likes of what happened in Georgia. The other is about a blue-dog Democrat that couldn’t be a better example of the establishment $hitshow, who just happens to run the state where former president piss-hair comes from, and now it’s been revealed that he’s probably the same wolf but in less uglier sheep skin–and let’s hope he goes down for it. And then there’s #Americant’s über successful dislodgement regarding its past where we once again have to think thrice or twice about krapp like… who we really are. Namely, a country that was and continues to exist on the backs of others. Indeed. How grotesque can it all be? Well, leave it up to #MAGA and the privileged establishment to tell you more.

    Otherwise…

  • Did You Forget To Get With The Program?

As much as I hate all the ruckus around my beloved & missed #Americant having elected its first black president (oh so long ago, it seems), there’s still a few lingering issues that weigh heavy on the minds-eye from then and there when it comes to looking at the Now. Namely, five years after Barry-O had to stop serving, and during the eight years where he did serve, the Republicans have been wiping the floor with Democrats in both the legislative and judicial branch of ill-government since, say, Reagan. This is kinda why I’ve always known that #Americant wasn’t ready for the reality of Barry-O. Indeed. For I might have worst-said once or thrice–and hereby I beg for forgiveness in my worst-writing repetitiveness: the country just ain’t ready for this, dude.

    Then again… if not now…

Not being ready to change brings me ’round to another issue, dear worst-reader. Are young people really so naive to believe that the powers-that-be would actually give in to doubling the joke that is the national minimum wage with one single swipe of the gavel? I mean. Forget the fact that the minimum wage is in and of itself an f’n joke. The only reason for such a mandate is do what almost all other mandates do: defuse and deflect from any real and relevant issue. The real issue being: it ain’t #Americant if there ain’t more than plenty of poor people. And so.

Is change the same as chump-change?

The one interesting thing that has come from those five years between when Barry-O left office and Now can be summed up in this worst-thought, dear worst-reader. The hate and spite and bigotry laid bare by #Trump&Co has served an even greater purpose than #MAGA. Indeed. #Trump&Co have sealed the deal when it comes to deflecting the issue(s). And by-the-buy, Democrats have never been afeared of #Trump&Co, even if he would have won a second term. Nor will Democrats shy away from his return in 2024. Reason? Deflection runs deep in the halls of a representative ill-government chosen by stupid people galore, don’t you know. And do you want to know the reason for that? Really? Ok. Here ya go.

    Conformity.

#Trump&Co’s only crime is revealing the reality of year upon year of conformity run amok. Well, that and all that other krapp he does. (Grab them by the…) That’s why Democrats don’t bite (show their teeth) when Republicans do. That’s why Democrats allow diffusion with the likes of the Senate Parliamentarian. That’s why when you walk into a Walmart everyone looks the same, except for weight issues. But the pullovers, hoodies, sneakers and old people… it’s all a conformist nightmare of redundancy, mendacity and a bit too many sprinkles on that beautifully shaped soft ice cream with the special treat at the bottom of the cone that makes everything alright as you bite into it and another unicorn passes through your sugared eyes.

    Or maybe not.

  • The Need For More Wrenches In The Machine

Fishing community leaders say Greenpeace’s action is dangerous and illegal.

Yeah, baby. Throw a wrench in it. Even though I eat seafood every once-a-once, I at least try to consume it responsibly. That said, it does bother me when I see grocery stores full of cans and cans and cans of pre-packed tuna or fresh scallops and layer upon layer of fish filets. So if I’m buying from a dealer for the first time I’ll usually request if the fish he sells is from responsible fisheries. Obviously the answer is ALWAYS “yes”. So how much is worst-writer supposed to do? Is not consuming the fish at all an option? Of course it is. Or. Maybe. We should just throw a friggin’ hammer in the whole Neo-feudal, pseudo-capitalist BS that has made things not unlike 17th or 18th century colonial #Eurowasteland. Or maybe not. And since I post this on a Friday, when I usually consume fish, what does it all matter? Then again, the story linked to here forgets to mention the UK dip$hittery of #Brexit, which just may turn that incestuous island into a freak show of epic starvation proportions–which means the dentally challenged, monarch-sucking morons might just have to eat all those luscious scallops just before cannibals come. • Examples Of End Is Nigh, Or Maybe Not?

A United Airlines plane with a Pratt & Whitney engine that failed on Saturday had flown fewer than half the flights allowed by U.S. regulators between fan blade inspections, two sources with knowledge of the matter said.

As mentioned in my previous post, dear worst-reader, there is something to worst-say about the dilemma the world is in that is (obviously) lead by my beloved & missed united mistakes of #Americant. That dilemma is nothing less than the status quo that is post WW2 political conservatism run amok that thinks, well, why not not just keep the $hitshow going on and on and on, on account so many inept fools (Das Volk) won’t notice as we (the moneyed interests) have them by the wag-tails. Unless, of course, they start to actually see/recognise the obvious signs. And indeed. So it is. On the other worst-hand, if there were ever signs that the end is NOT nigh but instead we’re actually living in that end, as in, you know, COVID, perpetual wars-of-choice, airliners dropping out of the sky, #Trump, etc.,  would any of the inept fools do anything about it? Of course not. Reason? If they can’t maintain an Airliner how are they gonna maintain a country? I wonder if there are #Trumpers in airline companies protesting the reality of physics that require airliners to stay in the sky? Trying to imagine what intellectually goes on in the confines of corporate boards regarding the reality of seeds sown… Oh well…

  • The #Eurowasteland COVID $hitshow And Other Disaster Capitalism Krapp

Alternative worst-title: disaster capitalism in Tex-ass, Pratt & Whitney pulled the market share short stick, and why Germany Can’t Vaccinate faster

Well, here we go, dear worst-reader. Have I got $hits&giggles for you today. First, let’s start with Tex-ass. Has there ever been a better example of the fail-upward-ness of #Americant political conservatism run amok than what is going on during a 1 in 50 year freeze that is, btw, and somewhat ironically, running through the middle of all the red states, north to south? No, you say? You have no clue? Well, trust me when I worst-say, there are plenty of examples. But let’s focus on the best example. Or have you already forgotten Enron? What? Your collective amnesia too real, dear worst-reader?

Everything that is happening during this climate calamity ruckus between of the coasts was setup while one of #Americant’s greatest corporate con-jobs was in its heyday. The only good news out of the Enron debacle was that Ken Lay wasn’t able to do to California what it did to Tex-ass1. Hence(1), Tex-ass is its own earnergy grid, e.g. it doesn’t share its grid with other states and vice-versa. Which also means, it’s on its own in a crisis like the one it’s experiencing now. Hence(2), I’m trying not to laugh out loud out of respect for those less fortunate who have to suffer under this nonsense. Indeed. There is reaping what you sow.

Next issue to worst-giggle about has to do with planes breaking up in the middle of the air–or maybe not. First, though, let me get this worst-thought out of the way. The most amazing thing about the recent images and videos of an airplane experiencing engine failure mid-flight is that it made it safely to the ground. I mean. Come on, dear worst-reader. Don’t hold this situation up to luck. Someone did something right when designing those engines that such a… let’s call it anomaly… didn’t bring this plane down in pieces. But that’s not the reason I’m on about this issue.

The year 2020 is the first year in my expatriation journey that I did not travel to my beloved & missed united mistakes of #Americant–in over thirty-five years. I can’t tell you how sad that makes me, especially considering my mother is 78 (but she’s doing fine). With that in mind, you know what I’ve dreaded since last summer? Getting on a tarmac-mothballed airplane that has obviously not been maintained. For don’t you know, dear worst-reader, while working as a pion researcher for a $hitbag but highly successful consulting company oh-so many years ago, one of my beats was to provide consultants in Europe with all-kinds of aviation information. You know, it was at the time when Airbus getting its mojo. Worst-long-story-short, the thing about airliners (as airplanes used to be called) is that their mechanical lifespan is dependent on two relatively mundane factors, which I’m sure most rational non-#MAGA morons can figure out for themselves. That’s right. Maintenance and use. That’s it. It is totally not good that an airliner be mothballed if it has not reached its designated retirement age–and then, suddenly, get back up in the air. If it is mothballed, it is paramount that it be maintained–so that it can safely get back up in the air. And so. Don’t know about you, dear worst-reader. But do you trust these airline companies while they are in a state of perpetual bankruptcy since forevermore, plus Covid, to actually maintain their aircraft while being prematurely mothballed?

With that in mind, let me unequivocally praise—NOT the airline, nor the plane manufacturer, but instead–the maker of an engine that under extreme circumstances did not reach a level of catastrophic destruction that would otherwise have brought down the entire plane by ripping apart the wing. Hats off to ya, Pratt & Whitney!

Now. For a bit of ranting about z’Germans. Get this, dear worst-reader. As my beloved & missed #Americant slowly but surely progresses in its war on COVID via country wide inoculation, the grand corporate state of Germania is lugging around like an old, confused rural Bavarian (#WernerTwertzog) that can’t find his way around a city. But all worst-analogies aside.

In a conversation the other day with Germans, I questioned the reason why Germany was so slow at vaccinating its people–including expat worst-writer–even though the country practically bankrolled the first approved vaccine. Of course, the Germans went on and on either about Tante Merkel’s successes so-far at keeping infections down or about how bad she’s handled it all along. But I said that Germany is making a mistakes by not vaccinating faster which means it also has another, much bigger problem. A problem that is, by-the-buy, two-fold above and beyond Tante Merkel.

    Problem 1.

The German government is subsidising somewhere near 80-90% of the entire economic shutdown during Covid. Considering the vastness of the German economy, that’s an amount of money unheard of since… Well, I’m don’t think post WW2 Germany has ever spent that much money before.

Now, keep in mind, according to EU regulation, member states are still required to maintain their deficits to a preset amount2. Therefore it doesn’t take much to realise, compared to how the USA is currently mad-spending its way out of the Covid crises by being able to fund vaccinations with huge amounts of mad-dollars, Germany is kinda lollygaggling around as though, well, it were a old Bavarian (#WernerTwertzog) that can’t find his way around a city.

    Problem 2.

Germany is the locomotive of #Eurowasteland. All other members not only look to where Germany is going but their attachment is more than just a hitch. That attachment, in fact, is an umbilical. I can’t remember the last time I heard anything in the German press about how other EU members are getting on with their vaccinations. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I’m sure the information is out there and I’ve just missed it. Still. This causes worst-writer to conclude the following.

Right now, vaccination is a taboo topic in Germany. Reason? Germany cannot vaccinate its Volk too fast on account other EU members would have more ammunition against the locomotive–not unlike the blank-ammunition #Brexit exploited to win their freedom from being the caboose of the Euro train. If, say, the Germans were to begin financing vaccinations like the USA is doing, all hell would break out in Brussels in the name of fairness, privilege and, of course, breaking deficit regulations. Does Germany really want to feed more #Brexit and/or #Euroexit nonsense? I mean. If Tante Merkel as done anything right it has been most certainly maintaining the status quo of German passivity. But on that worst-note, I die-gress.

And there you have it, dear worst-reader. Germany is fcuked #nomatter what it does on account it must never maintain a position of Wir #1. Which also means continued lockdowns and worst-moi continuing to question when can I return home.

Oh well. Such is this worst-life.

    Rant on.

  • Too Many Notes Understanding #Americant and #MAGA, Or Maybe Not

Source of pic: see link below

Things are complicated, eh, dear worst-reader. You know, like Mozart’s music, as the king of Austria once said: you use too many notes. Yet, this article, as academic as it may be, is kinda interesting. I mean. Even though I’m a fan of comparing my beloved & missed #Americant to the Weimar Republic–because the Weimar Republic is probably one of the best ways of understanding the rise of fascism–I often wonder why others don’t do the same. Does this mean that worst-writer has any sort of academic validity? Of course not. But $hits&giggles aside. On the other hand, it behoves me to grasp why anyone would want to be a professor of Thomas Mann’s writing. I mean. I splattered around a few pages here and there written by Mann in my wild reading days. But be assured of this: I never got to the end of any of it. I can say the same for Hemingway, as well. But before I get too far off worst-subject.

There is one key thing I’ve taken from this article. The author is pretty thorough in noting that #nomatter what happens before or after #Trump, the likes of #MAGA transcend him.

German novelist Thomas Mann spent most of World War II rallying the American people against Nazism and exhorting them to stand up for democratic values. Yet he also understood that no democracy can survive by culture alone — it also needs social justice to thrive.

  • Missing With Your Blame Gun

Went ahead and gave it my best shot, dear worst-reader. And guess what? I actually made it through a whole Jimmy Dore clip. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to do that. For don’t you know, dear worst-reader, I’m a bit of skeptic when it comes to the likes of Jimmy Dore. You know, that part of the #Interwebnet “left” that can really, ultimately, only play the blame game–usually a wildly misplaced blame game, don’t you know.

So here’s my worst-question: who then is to blame? Well. Considering the article that motivated this clip, it’s all to be blamed on poverty–and all that entails. Yet, after reading the article I couldn’t help but resort to my personal blame game that I’ve been playing ever since expatriating once I realised that Reagan & Co. where screwing the pooch and it was only a matter of time before my beloved & missed #Americants would be eating each other. Yeah, that was forty or so f’n years ago.

So here’s the worst-gist of this worst-post, baby. I could give a hoot about how financially troubled the morons are that tried their fail-upwards, misconstrued and silly pseudo-putsch on January 6. Fcuk ’em, fcuk ’em all! In fact, I hope every damn one of them gets the book thrown at them. Of course, obviously, in white #Americant, that ain’t gonna happen. But that’s neither here nor there as I’m no rant-comedian. With that in mind, the question of blame that Jimmy Dore & Co. should be asking is how many of those Putsch wannabes vote republican? How many of their parents vote republican? How many of them vote independent? Or Green? In other worst-words, you can’t change the rules right in the middle of the game*–no matter how funny you think you are. And so. If piss-hair #Trump is only a symptom (which he is) who the fuck is the disease? Maybe that’s who Dore & Co. should be ranting about. The disease is the multitude of ignorant and debased fools (74m of them) who can’t wake up to the reality of what they and their parents and grandparents have done in allowing the republican party to go so far to the political right.

The rightwing of my beloved & missed #Americant have been fighting long and hard since WW2 to get to the likes of #Trump, Bush, wars, greed and more greed. Where have Das Volk been in all that time to move the country just enough to the left in order to maintain even a speck of balance? I’ll tell you where they’ve been. They’ve been dabbling and waddling in the grimy cum and excrement of redneck stupidity that is all mislead by either preachers or the likes of Dore & Co. propagating the idear that it’s all about poverty–as opposed to wanton, blatant stupidity.

And there you have it. You’re welcome, suckers.

    Rant (un-comedically) on.

*The game is a two party system–like it or not. Voting for anything outside of those two parties only gives the other party an advantage, which is currently how the likes of Mitch McConnell, a senator from the heart of bumfcuk #Americant, can basically own the legislative branch of government. Why don’t you rant to the people in Kentucky that vomit up the likes of McConnell?

  • Noose vs Guillotine Or #Americant Confused Poli-Sticky Galore

Source of pic: see Moyer link below

Two things seem to be worth skipping as my beloved & missed #Americant dabbles Congressionally with what to do about insurrections. And as hi-larry-us as it all may be, especially considering what I’ve read so-far as former prez-piss-hair’s defence rambles on and on in the Senate while they acquit him, those two things will not be avoided in this here worst-blog. Indeed, dear worst-reader. Lets get it on.

We must investigate the riots and find out who was behind it, who organised and financed it.

-Source of quote in link below

The first thing #Americant’s are avoiding is that whole pooping thing. That’s right. For those worst-readers not in-the-know, faeces was found not only on the floor inside the Capitol building on January 6, but some creative insurrectionists were kind enough to spread said faeces on the walls. I mean. Come on. Let’t not be too grown up about all this wackiness. Especially considering that a few worst-readers might confuse the word faeces as a worst-writer misspelling of the word faces and thereby think/assume that what was actually spread on the walls were smiley-faces. But on that worst-note, I must die-gress.

    ;-)

The second thing that seems to be missing in all the who-ha that includes The Media and Congressional activity, is the noose that some arts & craft redneck yahoo hung on a makeshift gallows that just happened to be perfectly positioned for selfie taking.  I mean. Seriously. For the life of me, I can’t figure out why someone hasn’t turned the January 6 Capitol building gallows into a meme to rival Bernie memes. But before I get too far off subject.

The worst-thing is this, dear worst-reader. I’m wondering whether or not the confusion that obviously is being an #Americant in what is also obviously a socially and politically fail-upward nation-state, the likes of which hasn’t been seen since the fall of the Roman Empire, it’s now time to recognise the fact that there really are a lot of morons turning the gears of the idiot machine. I mean. If I were to organise an insurrection–and let’s not pretend that this wasn’t organised–that is supposed to give me (even more) FREEDOM (to be fcuking stupid), shouldn’t the imagery of the ultimate sacrifice be a guillotine and not gallows? For. Don’t you know, dear worst-reader. The sacrifice of the gallows, as far as I can tell, always followed some form of judicial process. The guillotine, on the other hand, was the perfect sacrifice device to coincide with a revolution that most assuredly corresponded with FREEDOM of a somewhat truer kind. Namely, the freedom to be free from hereditary privilege embodied in the beheading of that dumb-arse French King and his even stupider trollip Austrian child-wife. But. Again. I die-gress.

And so. What should be investigated, along side everything, is the fact that it’s a real shame so many #Americants can’t organise their way out of a wet paperbag, let alone a system that they’ve so joyously–except when it doesn’t work–enabled and facilitated with the likes of right-wing bullshit galore. How many #Americants voted again for prez piss-hair? I know. I know. But Biden won by eight (or so) million more votes. But you see, dear worst-reader. This is exactly why my beloved & missed united mistakes of #Americant is destined to follow the Roman Empire. I just don’t think those who picked old-man Biden, when obviously old-man Bernie would have been the better choice, are capable of staying in the game through to the end. For. Don’t you know. As the Democrat and Republican $hitshow goes on, that #Americant attention span never fails to…

    Hey look! Squirrel!

    Good luck suckers.

  • Empire And The Great Wealth Dislocation

Source of pic: see link below. And by-the-buy, what an appropriate nick-name for #Americant.

Go figure, dear worst-reader. Worst-writer read the linked article (below) about a week ago and it hasn’t yet left me. Also. Although I’m a regular leech of Jacobin magazine (leech being one who won’t afford to pay for the newz he consumes), please don’t go off the rails thinking that I’m a full-time French Revolutionary that, perhaps, is one shy of a six-pack on account, well, why would a left-wing, progressive publication that does some pretty good writing and other stuff name themselves after a group that was, in part, responsible for the Reign of Terror? Now. Don’t get me wrong. Was the French Revolution necessary? Was the Revolution a natural human progression after the War of Independence in the United States? Did a few heads have to roll in France in order to rid this world of at least some useless hereditary monarchy? Obviously, the answer is… You betcha! And as far as monarchy goes, according to the inner confused depths of worst-writer, it’s a shame that monarch annihilation had to stop in France. More on worst-writer’s POV regarding French Rev is here. And on that note, I die-gress.

Even though the whole Gamestop thingy has waned as I worst-write this, one very important aspect of it should remain with us forever-more. Namely, we should all heed the reality that the friggin Stockmarket is about as useful for the betterment of society as a turdblossom huddling around cowgirls in Wherever-Texas thinking that six shooters can save the world from alien invasion or vaccinations or #Americant non-white folk messing with Texas cowgirls. Or. Put another worst-way, the thing that stuck with me for the past week or so from this article is the following sentence:

…the stock market has almost nothing to do with raising money for productive investment.

    -see link below for source

You know, dear worst-reader, as a loser in this game of life–who’s also done pretty well for himself by expatriating and getting out of the $hitshow that is #Americant–few things have perturbed me more than how the country of my (miss)birth has spread nothing but ill-will and dire-straits through out the world in the name of greed-galore, fake shinny teeth (and tits) and a few overly drastic colour movies. I mean, if it’s ever been true that #Americant is but a fledgling attempt at nation-state-hood only so that it can hide it’s true nature, that of greed and greed and more greed, then that truth is now. I mean. The place is royally fcuked, don’t you know. And I even voted for old-man Biden with one of them fancy online preliminary ballots on account the people that voted for former president piss-hair scare me more than former president piss-hair. But. Again. I must die-gress.

With that in worst-mind, allow me this one counter thought about where this article is attempting to go. Namely the fact that in the past forty or fifty years of devastating wealth re-distribution–as opposed to wealth dislocation–there was a short stint there where the friggin Stockmarket actually served as a pretty ingenious (re)source of wealth creation. And I think it should be remembered. Or have you forgotten (or are you too young to know about) the Dotcom boom? Here’s more from the article that got to me.

Firms do issue stock now and then, in so-called initial public offerings (IPOs), but over the last twenty years … IPOs have raised a cumulative total of $657 billion, well under 2 percent of total business investment in things like buildings and equipment over the same period.

    -see link below for source

The worst-thing I’m trying to get at is this. Even though I agree with the premise of the article–something about Capitalism has run amok–I am not politically progressive enough to place all the blame on the system itself. Yes. Capitalism is bad–right now. But the fact remains, in order for the world to progress and discontinue regressing, I think we’re gonna need Capitalism. So the only worst-question that remains is not the what but the how. Or is it the other way around? I don’t know anymore. My worst-brain hurts. So let me move on and close-out.

Obviously I have no empirical data here so I’m only worst-guessing the following. There is a precedent that shows how the Stockmarket can actually be productive. And even though the Dotcom boom came to a shattering halt by the end of the 1990s, to me it kinda proved that, if done properly and without GOP and Republican Party malice–I mean could there be a connection to the fact that the Dotcom Boom happened ONLY under the auspices of a Democratic presidency and a less-than malice filled Congress–it could actually be a pretty useful thingy. And for the last time, I die-gress.

As impeachment trial #2 gets on, what the heck else is going on in my beloved & missed united mistakes of #Americant? Indeed. The time is nigh, dear worst-reader, where a whole bunch of nitwits have to face their makers. You know. The nitwits that stormed the US Capitol on jan 6, 2021, with the idear that they’d take over the do-nothing government on behalf of some humdrum nitwit trust-fund baby named Donald piss-hair #Trump. Which begs the worst-question: Who be these people, dear worst-reader? Well, to best answer worst-questions like that let’s give a read (linked article below) or listen (linked video below) to those who know better than worst-we. But all worst-kidding aside.

I actually dig Ronan Farrow. He’s definitely a dude worth his weight in journalistic gold–especially when compared to the torch bearers of journalism over the past thirty or so years from networks like CNN and god forbid faux-newz. Yet the thing that riled me here is the guy featured in this article. The more and more I looked at it and the more and more I remembered hanging out with #Americant brethren in places like Wiesbaden, Germany, where military might is all-grand and luxurious, hid face turned all kinda familiar. Could he be that guy I almost got in a fight with on account I was the only hippie in a bar of soldiers who believed everything–and I mean everything–they’ve ever been told? I say, by-the-buy, luxurious because I learned, while living in Wiesbaden for a short stint, how the small Hessen, Germany, town was strategically chosen long before the the end of WW2 because, well, a few Generals thought it would be the best place to entertain–whomever–on account it is waaaaaaaay to quaint and cute and, well, German. And so.

I suppose this is the point where I admit to my prejudices and just, well, all stupid white people look the same to me. Especially the one I’ve fought with over the years while trying to drink a beer and a whiskey and dream about making Pamela Anderson giggle once or thrice.

  • Sorry. Is It Me? Would You Miss It?

Love this story, dear worst-reader. Could it be the beginning of what should have been real for oh so long? You know. The fact that Florida is probably the best geographic region of my beloved & missed united mistakes of #Americant to represent all-things wrong (worst) when it comes to dealing with… Wait for it. Here it comes. That’s right. The climate thingy. And to think there are people in Florida that have to deal with their insurance premiums rising on account… Wait for it. Here it comes. That’s right. Who would have thunk that on a planet where water is both a godsend and danger (on account most of it is a bit too salty) rich white arseholes would have taken better care (going back fifty or so years) about not only their stupid gardens but also… Wait for it. Here it comes. That’s right. The friggin environment.

And on that note. Seriously. Considering who has retired recently there,  on account if he were to set foot in his native NYC he might be lynched, and if Florida were to fall into the ocean, would you miss it? I mean. It’s like the moon suddenly going away. Other than mass tidal floods, would you really miss the fcukin’ moon? Come on. For. Don’t you know. Dear worst-reader. Only in #Americant, baby. I mean. There you have it. Or have you not heard about former president piss-hair’s corporate-like-meeting via conference call with the Secretary of State of the state of Georgia? I mean. Again. If this doesn’t get under your gander and make you think twice about who and what you are and where you live… geez-us-age-christ, baby! It’s no longer a joke about whether or not this man is a complete and total fool. In fact, he’s so friggin’ stupid, you gotta wonder if maybe, just maybe, he’s not only one-hundred-eighty-degrees stupid but perhaps he’s the full go-round three-hundred-sixty-degrees stupid. You follow what I’m trying to get at, dear worst-reader?

There is such a thing as stupid and stupider. Or?

Ok. Let me put it another worst-way. My beloved & missed united mistakes talks a lot here and there about political polarisation. You know, as in, Democrats are on this side and Republicans on the opposite side. But I don’t quite see it that way. And from the get-go, don’t get me wrong. I’m not one to go down the route of false equivalences. For me there are clear and obvious differences between the two parties which has made me NOT vote for a Republican since Reagan’s first term–which was, btw, the first time I could vote and I’m obviously carrying the shame of that till today. Moving on.

The thing about degrees of stupid, dear worst-reader, is kinda important. For you see, don’t you know, that’s kinda #Trump’s M.O. If he’s smart about anything it’s about how to get away with murder–by playing stupid. I mean, I’m sure he says to himself $hit like: if a real murderer can get off by pleading insanity, why can’t I rip-off suckers who throw money at me, including the government? This is the nuance of blue vs white collar crime, i.e. corporate crime, dear worst-reader. This is where you tell the difference between blatant criminality and political corruption. It’s how you use The Law to jimmy things to the point where maybe no one will notice and, even better, no one will care. This is the only area where I’ll give former prez goldenshower praise. As a con-man and pseudo, wannabe mafia fan-boy, Trump has really pulled the wool over the eyes of not just seventy-four million idiots but a whole bunch of Neo-con right-wing cocksuckers, too.

The good news is, at least this time (i.e. the 2020 presidential election), there were just enough (somewhat) smart people out there to dislocate prez pee-pee-hair. The bad news is, how many of the eighty-two million that voted for old-fart Biden are gonna stay in the game? For that’s how degrees of stupid really get-on, dear worst-reader. Things become so convoluted. There is so much deflection. The sound one should hear is full of so much noise. It’s easy to just sit back in your Korean made lazyboy, turn on your Chinese made TV or maybe take a Sunday drive (everyday) in your vehicle that, although it bares an American name, was never actually touched during assembly-only, with all its parts made abroad, in the LAND OF FREE TO BE STUPID.

As the newz goes on and on about impeachment #2, worst-writer has been trying to figure out which one of prez piss-hair’s crimes is actually the worst? Or. Perhaps the question should be: has he actually ever committed a crime that is blatant enough to dispel the nuances of degrees? Obviously his pal Jeffrey Epstein finally got caught in his blatant criminality. But does such a comparison really make #Trump a smart guy?

    Oh well. WTF.

Worst-title #2: The reawakening and potential gruesome death scene of #Americant demise galore in the wrong porn film just before the WWE match begins while the church doors are wide open.

    Disclaimer: this post is NSFW.

Still not woke up to the grift, dear worst-reader? You know, the grift that is THE #Americant DREAM–post Ronald Reagan. Well. Don’t worry too hard if you still ain’t figured it out. For the thing is this: Even though it’s pretty much game-over for my beloved & missed united mistakes, there’s still a whiff of pseudo-hope out there that could emerge once the last two (if not three) generations die off in the great 21st century culling that is COVID-19. I mean. If the covid don’t get you… there’s always that wonderful feeling that you might, eventually, get a relief check not unlike the $1200 relief check you already got but this time, says the #Americant used car dealer that is your intellect, this time your relief check will have the number two and three zeros on it and go down just a tick smoother as you swallow (it). Ain’t that as exciting as a donkey playing the violin while you fcuk a bucket of creampie?

    Speaking of which…

Did you get a load of President Stupid’s recent grift with suited Georgia old-school republicans? Now. I don’t know about you, dear worst-reader, but I listened to that call in its entirety and if I may be honest…? Holy fork in your wad of money horse $hit! President Stupid is as dumb as he looks. Or is worst-writer the only one able to see through that pseudo bouffant hair-do he’s got going–which is part of the mommy issues he has for being yet another #Americant male unable to grow out of the shadow of an abusive father, don’t you know? But here’s the thing that surprised me most about listening to a man-child three year old that managed to become President Stupid of a country of three year olds. He’s actually hands-on when it comes to the grift. I mean. For the most part I thought he just handed off the grift to the various minions that are as dumb as he is–for desperation is part of the THE DREAM and it makes so many do the go-go dance of survival, don’t you know. These minions then, in turn, gallivant around as though their undertakings are real–as opposed to fake–and all the while they ride the wave of downfall that moneyed pigs have sewn throughout the land by opening the skulls of non-grifter-schmucks (the working poor that make up the 99%), squatting over their open skulls, and then taking a colossal $hit. Or do you think #Americant conservative politics via faux-newz is something else?

    #Nomatter.

This all begs one last worst-question as worst-writer watches what’s going on in Georgia. Even if the two democrats unseat the two republicans, will Biden & Co. actually be able to right the wrong that is (has been) thirty, forty… fifty years of hateful, spiteful, ugly, bouffant hair culminating republican politics? I mean. Having been reared in #Americant and having been able to escape it, and all the while miss it dearly, is there anything left to save? If only the culling via COVID-19 could be directed at the perpetrators that actually caused it. You know. The part of #Americant that enabled faux-newz & co., to kill it all by… death by a thousand COVID cuts.

    Or am I wrong.

And so… the COVID-19 culling question is thus: what does it look like when a rich guy gives a hundred dollar bill to an idiot and tells him he can have two more if he runs through a gun-totting, shit-kicker trailer park, survives and comes back to suck his dick? Well. Obviously. The guy grabs that bill, runs through, sucks the dick (for that is, in a nutshell, middle-class #Americant, or?) and the rich guy smiles, hands him two more hundred dollar bills and then points that the only way out of #Americant life is a repeat of the same thing where eventually you run out of dicks to suck. And so. Through the trailer park again, again, again. The #Americant song.

As our rich guy flys off with one of the trailer park’s hair dresser bimbos who promised to make his hair just like President Stupid’s hair, because, well, it’s in fashion now, we can see below as the trailer park gains two more useless hundred dollar bills and another body to feed on. You know. Soylent Green or so. Or maybe not.

So. To who ever coined the phrase: run through a trailer park waving a hundred dollar bill… if you want to see #Americant’s true character… this worst-post is my ode to you.

    Good luck suckers.

  • Unoriginalityism

Disclaimer: terribly sorry for the bad spelling. Maybe it ( bad spell) can be chalked up to all things … “fake”? (If only I had gone w/ fake-writer, eh!)

Well, there you have it, dear worst-reader. The #Americant disease of unoriginality is rampant. In fact, is it unlike COVID? Spreading like wildfire due to the lack of basic intellectual capacity passed on from generation to generation–that thinks it’s fighting for freedom to not wear a mask? People are actually making a big-deal out of wearing a mask, don’t you know. They are making a big deal out of it because they don’t believe that there is a pandemic. Under these circumstances, shouldn’t people be wearing a mask as a duty to one’s fellow man? I know. I know. Stop being so naive, worst-writer. Get a life, worst-writer. Keep your opinions to yourself, you snivelling idiot. Indeed.

Then again. Even though the disease that is unoriginality is rampant, I was hoping it would die with #OKBoomer–or last least retire with the boomer generation. But the boomer-plague (COVID) ain’t quite big enough, don’t you know. And let’s not underestimate the power of yet another #Americant disease: conformism. Heck, let’s not forget another reality. There are so many still alive from the greatest generation, even the silent generation, it’s a wonder there’s any room at all to live in. And with so many still kicking that bucket around as though the elixir of immortality they’ve been drinking on the backs of the #Americant dream is never-ending, what is there to be done (about it)? I know. I know. One would hope that the boomer-plague would/could fulfil the destiny of those greed-mongers oh-so deserving of painful death. Then again again… How wrong can worst-writer be?

But let’s get on with the other disease that my beloved & missed #Americant can’t cope with: unoriginality. And where best to see/witness the disease? Most certainly it ain’t worth it to go to a culture centre or so. And you can forget about that old-folks home (which is probably awash in COVID). Want to try a gated community? No. The best place to see the disease and how well it’s traversed the generations, is to just watch or re-watch the most recent confirmation processes of #Americant #SCOTUS judges that have been appointed by president piss-hair. Or just check out this quote:

I clerked for Justice Scalia more than 20 years ago, but the lessons I learned still resonate. His judicial philosophy is mine, too: A judge must apply the law as written. Judges are not policymakers, and they must be resolute in setting aside any policy views they might hold.
    -Amy Coney Barrett

And there you have it, dear worst-reader. A forty-eight year old female jurist, law professor, religious $hitbag and, of course, right-wing nut job, just admitted that she’s never had an original thought in her entire life. For. Indeed. Don’t you know, dear worst-reader, that’s the ticket when it comes to political conservatism in my beloved & missed #Americant: never think of anything new or original, follow the past, do what you’re told, watch TV, consume, etc. And so. As I relax in the comfort of my expat existence, an existence I embarked on long before the united mistakes of #Americant judicial system was fully in the hands of old, moneyed and greedy white people, I bid you adieu. And I wish you luck, too. But I also laugh at what you’ve done (to yourself). And don’t worry. There’s also a giggle or three in there thinking about how things could have been… if you hadn’t lost the likes of worst-moi.

Good luck suckers and you might as well start investing in coat-hanger makers.

    Rant on.

  • Casino Ain’t Pay

    Screenshot from the interwebnets

Time to go there again, eh, dear worst-reader? I mean, I’ve dabbled in banking and finance krapp on this blog before. You know, dabbled, as in, from my couch. At the least, I’ve tried to comprehend what ultimately has become a casino madhouse free-for-all that is the current (mis)banking world. And where best to begin with that sort of rigamarole? That’s right, baby. It all begins in the land of my beloved & missed #Americant. The greatest land of… FREEDOM TO BE STUPID. On the other hand, there is also this thing with Germania. You know. Germany. My host expat country. Where Huns and their dachshunds romp gayly through mountain forests of yore singing… Lass uns bumsen.

On the other hand, if you can stomach it, I’ve attempted to comprehend the world of freaky finance here, here or here. Good luck with that.

With this worst-post, though, things are gonna be a bit different. It’s time to focus solely on… z’Germans. Namely. Deutsche Bank is once again having a new arsehole ripped through its innards by regulators and I don’t know whether to laugh or tickle my fancy till I puke rainbows. With that in worst-mind, here’s an excerpt from the motivating article that I’ve linked to at the end of this post. This is from a Deutsche Welle article where they concisely list seven or so Deutsche Bank Scandals. Here’s the scandal that interests me the most. Footnotes are from me.

Subprime credits1 are considered to be what caused the global financial crisis2. It was above all Deutsche Bank that bought up the poorly secured mortgages from US home buyers, wrapped them up in highly complex financial products, slapped them with top ratings3, and sold them on to other banks as secure investment products4. When the market collapsed, the bonds5 became instantly worthless.
Meanwhile, internally, Deutsche Bank had long bet on a crash — and made a lot of money doing so6. In 2013, the bank was given a first penalty; it had to pay $1.9 billion to then-nationalised US construction financiers Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae7. The bank agreed on a settlement with US authorities in 2017. Initial talks were of $14 billion, equivalent to financial ruin for Deutsche Bank. In the end, the bank paid $7.2 billion8.

US Mortgage Transactions, source: see link below

I’ve been trying to understand this krapp for years. Quite an entertaining endeavour, don’t you know. Reason for my efforts? Well, get this. I think there’s a conspiracy afoot. And when I say conspiracy, I don’t mean conspiracy-theory. In fact, I sometimes stop what looks like a banker in the streets. I compliment him on his fancy snake leather shoes and matching belt and then reassure him I’m not a fag looking for a quickie. Then I ask:

Say, dude, is Deutsche Bank inherently evil?

    -worstwriter on the streets

There’s a bit of here & there as the banker adjust his tie and belt and then begins to take a defensive posture against the Ausländer talking $hit about his number one national bank.

The thing is this, dear worst-reader. I’ve suspected for years that the reason Deutsche Bank is in so much trouble is due to 1) historical circumstance and, perhaps, 2) geographic location (which amounts to it not being in London or NYC). And so. There are powers-that-be who think the bank can be used as a patsy–in the middle of #Eurowasteland. The problem is, Germans don’t make good patsies. Or do they?

Again, because of its historical circumstance, DB would gladly be a player in the Anglo-casino game. But like any capitalist pig, it would be willing to lose only so much. That said, it participated in the casino free-for-all that took place in my beloved & missed post cold-war #Americant–with only its investment banking entity. As noted in the excerpt above, that entity won bigly. When the subprime crash hit in 2008, it was time to cash in its casino chips. Of course, the Anglo bankers didn’t like what they saw. Namely, when the casino bell ended all bets, the Germans were standing there with all the chips, or at least a lot of them. The losers, as mentioned in the excerpt above, where organisation like Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and who knows how many more–to include, I’m guessing, a few large American banks. I suppose, under normal circumstances, things would have worked themselves out. But circumstances are/were not normal. Remember: Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae had to be taken-over by the US Government. In other words, the casino changed the rules. Instead of the US Government having to bail-out even more banks, it simply found a way to prevent all chips from being cashed.

Let me try to put that another worst-way. And keep in mind, this is purely worst-writer speculation and I ultimately have no idear what I’m writing about. #Nomatter.

There’s a reason that when you go into a casino you have to bet with chips. You go to the casino bank, give them your (real) money, they give you the chips. You then go around the casino and play whatever game you like, betting with your chips. You play blackjack, credit default swaps, craps, subprime mortgage blah, blah, etc., etc. When you’re done playing, you take all your chips, if you won, back to the casino bank and cash-in. In Deutsche Bank’s case, the casino (Wall Street) simply never let it cash-in its chips. And so. That makes me guess (speculate) that Deutsche Bank’s wrong-doing is a cover-up. It’s not a cover-up for the gambling, though. No. It’s all about covering-up, protecting, an insolvent American banking system–that no longer has enough money to cover gambling chips. It’s really that simple, dear worst-reader. DB won so much as the subprime casino crashed that it couldn’t get any money out of the casino bank–because there was/is no money there. Of course, the real joke is: all of these fines DB faces are literally taken out of the value of the chips that were never cashed in the first place.

    Or maybe not.

    Rant (and couch bank) on.

  • 1619 vs 1776 Or The Great Stupid Redo

So many have asked me over the years regarding my expatriation questions like:

    • So you must like it there, huh?
    • Is Germany really better than…?
    • Why Europe?
    • And… Don’t you miss the greatest country…?

For this worst-post, my answers to those questions are irrelevant. But if you must know, answers abound (that’s a “expat” tag link). The important thing to remember, dear worst-reader, is that I really, really do miss the united mistakes of #Americant, the one true land of FREEDOM TO BE STUPID. That worst-said, if needed would I go and fight a non-war-of-choice for her? I would. If necessary, would I keep my US citizenship until I die on foreign soil? Things are certainly moving along that timeline. But will I keep worst-writing and bad mouthing my country? You betcha, baby.

But first, allow me to setup a worst-writer, worst-post with this applicable quote. New officer candidates for the US Navy arrive at OTS (officer training school) initialisation. A gun-ho Louis Gossett Junior commands that all new officer candidates toe the line. He is quite perturbed, don’t you know. And. Btw. This is what worst-writer is confronted with every worst-day.

AH TEN HUT! I DON’T BELIEVE WHAT I’M SEEING. WHERE YOU BEEN ALL YOUR LIVES? AT AN ORGY? LISTENING TO MIK JAGGER MUSIC AND BAD MOUTHING YOUR COUNTRY!

-Louis Gossett Junior, Officer And A Gentleman, 1982

    So let’s move on.

President Piss-Hair actually said the other day that he wants to re-educate #Americant youth. And get this. He used the words patriotic education as though his idiot #MAGA followers could know any better, or that such words are reminiscent of other words like, gee, #HitlerYouth. I mean. Come on. Can things get any more obvious? Can things get more obvious about the direction this is all taking–and all because the idiots that elected Barry-O fell asleep just before they woke up to how much The Media had shat in their brains how evil #Hillary was? I mean. I grew up, I was reared by people just like President Pee-Pee-Hair. It’s the reason being an expat has nothing to do with how great or fun my host country is. Most of what Donald Dipshit has done doesn’t surprise me. But words like patriotic education among a country of highly dumbed-down shitkickers…?

There are indeed many reason I jumped the #Americant ship so many years ago, dear worst-reader–as my patriotic education only taught me one thing. To fcuking jump ship at any first chance. Go where things are just a bit less evil, don’t you know. Oh. Wait. Maybe I did learn to type during my patriotic education. Then again, now that I worst-think about it, I can’t remember any other thing any teacher ever taught me. Either that or I’m blanking on it all on account by the time I got to Highschool I was so traumatised about growing up in suburban hell #Americant… that has given up to the rhetoric of a moron president with cotton-candy piss hair…

    But I die-gress.

The thing I remember about getting educated is how I did it myself. And part of that education started with the likes of Howard Zinn. Unfortunately I had to wait till long after graduating from my patriotic education before finding him. And thank the celestial time continuum that I did.

    Good luck suckers.

  • Creativity vs Ownership

Who owns you, baby? And once you finally answer that question, whether you’re a #MAGA moron or a tree-hugger genius, the future might just open up to you instead of being dark and dreary like the transplanted roots of #Trump’s pee-pee-hair. Or maybe not.

So here’s the thing, dear worst-reader. Have you seen the brilliant advert from the makers of some fancy-pants computer game that totally demolishes the universes greatest (most profitable) corporation and thereby turning corporate hierarchy into exactly what was going on back in 1984 but kinda upside-down, if not inside-out? I’m referring, of course, not to Orwell’s book, 1984, that so ingeniously, and obviously, predicted the end of my beloved & missed #Americant–as republicans and conservatives turn the country into a $hithole of suburban hell, newspeak, big-brother bat$hittery, etc. Indeed. I’m referring to the 1984 of Steve Job’s wet-dream that would become one of the most famous adverts of all-time. An advert that was supposed to show the world that Apple ain’t evil. But before I get too far off worst-subject.

One of the most astonishing things to this expat every time I would traverse the Atlantic to visit mother back in the new country (#Americant), was the reality of how the country was nothing if not a bastion of modern day corporate monopolisation run amok. By-the-buy, the word monopoly is pretty much synonymous with corporate, if not Econ-school newspeak’s: vertical industry. And so. Whether it’s your cable company, bank or grocery store, there are so few choices when it comes to how/what you consume, that it’s no wonder the country is stuck in an internal mind-battle of good and evil, right vs wrong, #MAGA hat or rational thought, etc. There are simply too few choices when it comes to consuming-to-survive, which means, ultimately, you’re value as a citizen is dependent on who/what sets that value. Capisce?

Of course, worst-writer can’t get too detailed about this sort of stuff on account I ain’t no economist, but instead I am just your average wannabe pseudo social scientist. (Or maybe not.) What is clear to me, in these times of greed-galore, is that even if you can make the case that there are a few cable companies or phone companies or banks, etc., that give the illusion of choice, it most certainly doesn’t contradict the idear that industry itself isn’t monopolistic. Take grocery stores, for example. Even though there are a few stores to choose from, the chickens and eggs that are sold there are from monopolies, hence vertical industry. But. Again. I’m probably getting into territory beyond my capacities. So let’s move on.

I for one was tickled to death when I first saw the vid above. Epic, the maker of the game Fortnite, nails it. I mean, why didn’t I think of it. As an Apple fanboy, I’ve been frustrated with the company’s direction for years. I hate how they have been turning my Mac into a device that only they can control. That’s the reason I’m not an iOS fan, btw. iPads are horrific to me in how the system is so shut off from the world. Now that Apple is turning Mac hardware into the same monolithic system, it’s quite possible that I will move to Linux in the near future. I’ve already replaced my home network Macs with Linux based SBCs. All of my media players, too, are on raspberry pi hardware–also because I can’t stand the idear of “subscription” music services, I won’t touch an Apple HomePod. But. Again. Allow me to die-gress.

Let’s break the video down, shall we? Epic Games rightly claims that it is Apple in 1984. Keep in mind, back then, Steve Jobs hated Apple’s main competitor: IBM. Almost identical to the original, here an animated female runs into the corporate conference room with big brother Apple on the screen telling the groupthink corporate automatons (of Silicon Valley): “…platform unification directives”. The female then releases her unicorn hammer into the screen, destroying it. As she walks out of the conference room we read the following:

Epic Games has defied the App Store monopoly. In retaliation, Apple is blocking Fortnite from a billion devices. Join the fight to stop 2020 from becoming “1984”.

Even though I’m not a gamer and have never even seen Fortnite, I’m all in regarding what they’re trying to do. This is yet another battle in the war of #Americant that has been suffering a long, slow death by a thousand little political (right-wing, Neo-liberal policy) cuts since Ronald Dip$hit Reagan filled peoples heads with subpar acting talent that can only be followed by the vulgarity of white trash reality TV in the form of President Orange Shit. And let’s not forget all the wars of choice that have sucked the life out of post WW2 middle class greed run amok. Has there ever been a generation so deserving of seeds sown! But, again, I die-gress.

The thing that bugs me the most about all this greed and one sided politics is how so many can’t see through the grift that is #Americant. It’s as though the pledge of allegiance or the star spangled banner was draped over the rotting corpse of your mother because something has to hide her murder and you’re just playing around with rainbow $hit fresh from a unicorns… But I die-gress.

    Rant on.

  • Fake It Till You Make It

Screenshot of a doctored pic from a #Trump boat rally.

The almost, worst-writer, true story of #Americant, the greatest land of FREE-TO-BE-STUPID the universe has ever received and for proof of the proof all one has to do is get a load of #OKBoomer, the generation that failed to grow up. The generation stuck in nostalgia. High school was never graduated. Pom-poms attract all attention. And your real puppies are your children’s shadows. Or maybe not.

What is a generations greatest achievement? How can it be measured? Is there a microscope or other technique available for empirical data gathering? Who the fcuk knows. At the worst-least, one can simply have a good look at what’s been left behind, especially now that the #OKBoomer plague reeks havoc on such a deserving group of $hitbags. With that in worst-mind, worst-writer best-guesses that #OKBoomer’s greatest achievement is nothing less that FAILING UPWARD or fake it till you make it. I mean, look at the $hit they’ve done that culminates in the likes of #Trump. Or maybe not.

How to set the stage of a world based on failing upward? First. There has to be a lot of TV. TV that is perfectly moulded to minds. You’ve already got the minds, of course, don’t you know. Just visit a Walmart. Get a load of the clothes everyone wears, too. Then, just to be sure, check out interwebnet videos of #MAGA leisure boats sinking while promoting President Pee-Pee-Hair’s re-election. And so. Same here, same there. And by-the-buy. Sure, there are a few trinket differences in the fail upward $hitshow as in, say, some wear bumper stickers, others lapel pins, and some take pictures of sunken leisure boats as they suck the fat nipples of money-galore Poseidon.

Second. The mind setting of the stage is a bit more complex than costuming that stage. Here one needs to understand the intricacies of content. Take a look at all that TV which has given the world #OKBoomer #Americant. Generation after generation, post WW2 of course, is pumped full of nonsense and feelings. Brain food, indeed. Take, for example, the #Americant sitcom. Especially the family sitcoms. Whether it’s a real-world show (Married With Children) or a cartoon (Simpsons, South Park1), the brain is dependent on the content. Content, hence, rules. Or. At best. Is profitable. (For adverts.) But before I get too far off worst-subject.

The #OKBoomer generation has screwed the pooch. But what should one do with a peoples that never grew up or that never grew out of the shadow of misconstrued parenting? Don’t believe for a second that the generation that gave us #OKBoomner is any better. Greatest Generation, may arse. And so. What else can these morons do but leave the world in havoc and chaos and misdeeds? I mean, wars-of-choice, catastrophic economics, porn, etc. Well. I guess the porn’s pretty good. But I die-gress.

Once the lights go out and time stops (death), the only thing that matters is what you’ve left behind. Considering generation X, millennials, etc., things ain’t lookin’ rosey. If that’s the case, hell must be a pretty big place, probably filled with #Trump failed hotel deals. Or maybe not?

    Rant on.
